KANEKA OLED benefits : High color renderingAssessment by a professional beauticianLight for strict color requirements

We asked Ms. Noriko Narusawa (Matsushita), who runs a beauty salon in Belgium, to use KANEKA OLED.

The most important point for me when providing customers with nail treatments is to be able to suggest colors and designs that are most suitable for each individual. Lighting is extremely important to see the true skin tone.

Beauticians help customers look even more radiant by accurately using personal color diagnosis* to find colors that match the unique features of each individual.
The optimum lighting condition for personal color diagnosis is the light streaming in from the window on the north side for the duration of 2 to 3 hours around midday on a fine day. The personal color diagnosis assist light helps to reproduce this light condition. Using this light makes it possible to make accurate assessments regardless of whether it’s cloudy or rainy, it’s after sunset, or in any other kind of weather or time of day.

When using KANEKA OLED, the customer’s skin looks similar to the skin tone as seen under the light from the north-side window. In providing nail treatment, I feel that KANEKA OLED can assist me in making suggestions to enhance the customer’s radiance.

Under the KANEKA OLED

The difference in skin tone, as well as the difference between the bluish and yellowish tints of the gel can be clearly seen. As such, it shows that the baby pink color gel with bluish-pink tint would be suitable for the reddish-blue skin tone of the individual on the right.

Under a halogen light

The skin tone of both individuals appear to be a similar yellowish color, and it is also difficult to determine the color of the gel. This could result in choosing the wrong color, which would become painfully clear when seen under the sunlight.

(*) Personal color diagnosis: Method for assessing the color suitable for each individual. In this method, color information is classified into spring, summer, autumn, and winter and assessments are made to determine which color group is suitable for the individual. Wearing clothes from the suitable color group improves the individual’s complexion for a healthier and youthful look. On the contrary, wearing clothes from an unsuitable color group makes the complexion of the person dull or pale, making the person appear older. The same applies to makeup and hair colors.
